Creating subdomain for publishing pages on custom domain

If you want to publish the subpages on your custom domain, then in addition to the domain verification, you have to add a new DNS record in your DNS provider manager for each subpage that you are going to create and manage with the SubPage.app.

For example, if you are going to create Blog, Helpcenter, and Privacy Policy using SubPage, then add three new DNS records that will correspond to each of these pages.

This is a one-time process and is the commonly followed process in most other applications like Ghost, Helpscout, etc.

1 Go to your domain provider. Example: namecheap.com, godaddy.com, name.com

And then, go to your domain details section.

Note: In this article, we are taking namecheap.com for reference screenshots.

2 Go to the Advanced DNS tab.

3 Click on "Add new record".

4 Choose the record type as CNAME record.

5 Enter the subdomain name in the host field and 'yourverifyid.subpage.app' in the value field. And add the record.

6 It will take up to 30 minutes for this to take effect. Once you have created the DNS record for each subpage once, you can easily publish it from the page editor in one click.
